Kealeboga Mmutle

Position of Director/Team Member

Kealeboga Mmutle holds the position of the ENVIRONMENTAL UNIT PROJECTS MANAGER at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. Backed by a Bachelor of Environmental Science degree obtained at the University of Venda, she has not stopped arming herself with knowledge. She is currently doing her Honours in Environmental Management with the University of South Africa (UNISA). Her role at TECC, with over 6 years experience in the environmental sector, has seen her handle a number of responsibilities including:

  • Compiling Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) applications
  • Scoping reports, Exemption and Basic Assessment reports using Government Notice No.543 and No.544 of NEMA Regulation
  • Compiling EMP’s (Environmental Management Plan) for development projects
  • Compiling Ecological Assessment Reports for Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Conducting public participation processes
  • Conducting site inspections
  • Supervising of Junior Environmental Assessment Practitioners
  • Compiling tender proposals, invoicing and cost proposals, as well as developing the mitigation measures for the proposed development for sustainable use
Before her tenure at Tshikovha she worked at Newton Landscape Architects as a Junior Environmental Practitioner. She was also employed by TGM Environmental Services as an Assistant Environmental Assessment Practitioner as well as by the Limpopo Economic Development Environmental and Tourism as an Intern under the Environmental Directorate.

Vincent Tshingwala

Position of Director/Team Member

Vincent Tshingwala is Unit Manager for Engineering Geology department at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. He has studied Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Microbiology at University of Venda in 2004. The following year he switched to Bachelor of Earth Sciences in Mining and Environmental Geology and completed his honours in 2010. He started working for Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting in 2012 working on a project of IWMP integrated waste management plan of Vhembe. He also worked on a project of alien species removal at Xstrata Mine in Rustenburg. Vincent has an experience in Geotechnical Investigations and soil remediation work, which most of his remediation projects has been working with Transnet Freight Rail. He has done soil remediation for Transnet Freight Rail at Malelane, Hoedspruit, Ogies, Pienaarsriver, Breyten and Ermelo. All these projects have been completed successfully.

  • Soil Assessment for Tswane Landfill sites
His skills include good understanding and knowledge of South African National Standards, SANS, 633, 634, 1936 -1, 1936-2, 1936-3, 1936-4, and 10400, SAIEG, SACE, NHBRC and other guidelines for Geotechnical investigations. He has developed his skills through training on:
  • Self- Mastery 1 with lets Live Coaching
  • Managers Practical training with ISO Solved
  • Authentic Leader – Manager – Level 2 with Maurice Kerrigan

Niketiwe Dlamini

Position of Director/Team Member

Niketiwe Dlamini is a SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT PRACTITIONER at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. She holds an Honours Degree in Environmental Analysis and Management from the University of Pretoria and is currently studying towards her Master’s degree in Environment and Society in the same University. For her undergraduate studies, she completed a diploma in Environmental Health Sciences as well as a BSc degree in the same field majoring in Environmental Management at the University of Swaziland. Niketiwe also completed the following short courses:

  • Environmental Management Inspection
  • Learning ArcGIS
  • Basics of raster data
  • Basis of map projections
  • Understanding map projections
She has years of working experience. She worked for the Swaziland Standards Authority as a Quality Assurance Officer. She was responsible for:
  • Draft import-export inspection document
  • Coordinate awareness campaigns on substandard goods
  • Assist with the assurance of compliance of goods to Swaziland standards
  • Preparing locally made products for laboratory testing at the SABS
  • Inspection of goods
  • Assisting with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards
Niketiwe has also worked for First Environmental Consulting, where she worked as a Compliance Officer on the following projects:
  • Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the Biotechnology Park
  • Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the International Convention Centre of Swaziland
  • Environmental Impact Assessment Report for Nhlangano Waste Water Treatment Plant
  • Environmental Monitoring Plans
  • Biodiversity Reports
  • Social Impacts Reports
  • Ecology Reports
  • Ensuring that Clients follow the Environmental Management Plan
At Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting, she works on various waste management projects for the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Govan Mbeki Municipality and the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality.
