Hulisani Netshisaulu is an Environmental Assessment Practitioner at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. Prior to working at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting, Netshisaulu worked as an Intern for the Limpopo Economic Development and Environment and Tourism Department.
She holds a Bachelor of Earth Science in Mining and Environmental Geology honours degree obtained in 2010 from the University of Venda and a certificate in Project Management obtained in 2013 from the University of South Africa.
She is currently working on the following projects: The proposed development of the Londindha Lodge in Bushbuckridge Local Municipality, Mpumalanga Province; the proposed development of a filling station in Heildelberg under the Lesedi Local Municipality, Gauteng Province; the proposed development of a Resort in Mangwazi Nature Reserve under Bushbuckridge Local Municipality in Mpumalanga Province and the proposed development of Segakwaneng Bridge 2 in Moses Kotane Local Municipality, Northwest Province.
Belindah Kolokoto is an administration officer at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. She attended and matriculated at New Dawn College in Pretoria. She is currently studying with University of South Africa, where she is doing her second year of Bachelor of Education. At TECC, her roles include all administrative work from answering to human resources activities. Below are some of her duties:
Lucky Madzhie is a result driven and passionate Communications Officer atTshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Media Studies from the University of Limpopo. Mr. Madzhie has more than three years solid experience in high level communication, branding, marketing, writing, event coordination, photography, video production, public participation (as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment process), stakeholder management and networking between governmental authorities and private clients.
Mr Madzhie did not deem his qualifications as the limit. He went further to obtain a certificate in Investigative Journalism from the University of Witwatersrand and TV, Film and Video Production (SABC). This adds tremendous value to his career and personal brand. Lucky has also worked for the South African Football Association (SAFA) as event’s organiser and report compiler, Eduloan as a Client Sales Agent (CSA), and University of Limpopo as a Student Assistant and an Office Assistant.
For Mr Madzhie, the sky is not the limit. His hunger for more knowledge is evident to many who have had encounters with him through his inquisitiveness and demeanour. One individual once said, throw any challenge at Mr Madzhie and see him overtake the challenge.
Mufaro Nyamande is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts degree double major in Geography-Environmental Science and International Studies from Monash University. He also holds the following certificates from institutions based in South Africa and the United Kingdom; Project Management for Environmental Impact Assessments, Development, Disasters and Sanitation, Municipal Waste Water Treatment and an Executive Certificate in Projects and Programmes Monitoring and Evaluation. Soon after graduation, Mufaro was employed by Optimum PM in South Africa as a green consultant which afforded him the opportunity to work in the field of sustainable living. Much of the projects in this role were commissioned in partnership with local government and it allowed Mufaro to grasp the concepts of local government business processes. Furthermore, in this role he was responsible for the inception of the EIA process from the tendering stage up until the completion of the project.
In his five years of experience, Mufaro has been highly instrumental in the environmental departments of the companies he has been engaged in. His experience spans between three countries, namely South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe, in different environmental companies and consultancies. He has been previously employed in his capacity as an environmentalist who spearheaded environmental impact assessments for projects in alternative energy, mining and quarry development and waste water. He also specializes in conducting environmental impact assessments for projects in construction both residential and commercial developments, schools, small dams and filling stations.
Mufaro’s working experience has allowed him to create a valuable network over the years as well as understand the dynamics of the environment in different urban contexts. He also understands different environmental policies that are utilized in the different countries he has worked in
Gudani Carlos Mudzielwana is an Environmental and Engineering Geologist with over two (2) years of experience in Engineering Geology. Currently Gudani is employed by Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting as an Engineering Geologist. He holds a BSc Environmental and Engineering Geology degree (2013) and a BSc (Hons) Engineering Geology (2015) both from the University of Pretoria.
His skills includes good understanding and knowledge of South African National Standards, SANS 633, 634, 1936-1, 1936-2, 1936-3, 1936-4 and 10400 as well as SAIEG, SACE and other guidelines for Geotechnical investigations.
To lead a passionate life, Gudani started doing work as a student employee in geotechnical division of Kimopax for six month in (2013), where he was involved in investigations for a high rise building in Pretoria Central called Mandela Heist.
Since 2014, Gudani’s work at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting has seen him working in site investigations for projects such as: housing development, landfill feasibility studies, filling stations, applications for mine permits and prospecting rights as wells as remediation and monitoring projects for Transnet Freight Rail. During this time Gudani also completed a short course in soil profiling, core and chip logging (2014).
While working for Tshikovha in 2015 he registered for BSc (Hon). Engineering Geology, as part of the programme he was involved in projects such as geotechnical investigation for Kriel Power Station (Core logging), Modderfontein Filling station and Dolomite Stability Assessment (Protea Glen) all under the supervision of professional lectures at the University of Pretoria (Prof. L.J Van Roy and Dr. Matthys Dippenaar).
Julia Ramaphakela is Environmental Assessment practitioner at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Geography and Environmental Sciences from the University of Limpopo. She has over 2 years experience in the Environmental Field.
Mmasefoloko worked as an Environmental Officer at the Limpopo's Department of Ecocomic Development Environment and Tourism and as an Environmental Coordinator for Amatolo Project Management (Ngebs Civil). She is passionate about the environment and has a good aptitude for learning new skills. To add on to her qualifications, Julia completed the following courses:
Mathema Makola is an Environmental Assessment Practitioner at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology and a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Environmental Management from UNISA. Recently she completed her M.Sc. in Environmental Management at UNISA and the degree will be conferred to her during the graduations in September 2016.
To sharpen her communication and organisational skills, she has undergone short courses in business communication and project management. Her interest in the environmental field led her to enhancing her knowledge and obtained certificates in ISO 14001 and Fallout Dust Monitoring.
She has five year experience as project manager working on various Anglo Group Properties. She has three years' experience in quality assurance, safety, health and environmental management, data analysis and interpretation.
Yolanda Mapasa is a Communication Officer at Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting. She has a National Diploma in Management Training obtained at Walter Sisulu University in 2015. At Tshikovha, she has worked on various projects including the Zithobeni Housing Development Project, Grasfontein Housing Development Project and the Teddy Bear clinic project where she was part of the team that organised and also went to the clinic to deliver a donation. She is a dedicated and ambitious person who is passionate about her job.
She has previously volunteered at Leda (Limpopo Economic Development Agency) where she was an Admin Officer, and also worked For Umtapo, an NGO in Limpopo where she was conducting a survey on gender based violence in the schools of Vhembe District. She was working there as an Admin Officer and a Data collector.
Zwivhuya Ramabula is an Environmental Assessment Practitioner at Tshikovha Environmental and Communications Consulting. Prior to this, Ramabula, who holds a BSC in Geography and Environmental Management degree from the University of Kwazulu Natal, worked as a Junior Project Manager (GIS and environmental management) for JIS Environmental Engineers, where he worked on a number of projects. Some of the projects he worked on includes: A proposed housing development on the extent of portion 153 of the farm Elandsfontein 325 JR: City of Tshwane and a Basic Assessment Report (BAR) for the Proposed development of Mathibestad buy back centre in Moretele Local municipality, North West province
Ramabulana is a dedicated and hardworking individual whose motto is to provide effective and efficient support to the organization in order for it to meet its business objectives. The St Augustine Residential School matriculant is currently working at on Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Management programme report for to conclusion of a mining right application for the Cons Much Mine in Gravelotte Phalaborwa.
Bonita Mtengwa holds a Bachelor of Science (Hon) (Upper Second Class) in Geography and Environmental Studies. She has further acquired certification in the following courses; Certificate in Integrating HIV and Gender Related Issues into the EIA Process (SAIEA, UNDP & IAIASA – 2013), Environmental Law Course, EA EMP Awareness (Eskom, Polokwane,2013), Occupational Health and Safety Act, Act No. 85 of 1993, Induction Training Workshop in Occupational Health and Safety and Emergency Preparedness and Response Training Workshop.
Bonita has nine years’ experience in the Environmental Management field with her focus areas being in Environmental Management, Environmental Auditing, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Sustainability, Project Management and Stakeholder Liason. She has been fully engaged in the above in the capacity of Senior Environmental Assessment Practitioner/Project Manager for the past five years. She has also held the position of Environmental Manager, which she currently holds.
She has conducted EIA studies in various sectors including road infrastructure, electricity generation and distribution infrastructure, bulk water supply, municipal infrastructure, solar energy generation and distribution, water use licence applications, mining right/permit applications including deep sea mining activities, waste management licence applications, private developments, and residential developments including low cost housing in various provinces throughout South Africa. She has also undertaken Environmental Control Officer duties for roads infrastructure projects.
Her duties have included the undertaking of full EIA (Scoping and EIR) and also undertaking of Basic Assessments for projects, management of EIA Unit including office management, project management, Public Participation Processes, compilation of Environmental Management Plans/Programmes, undertaking Environmental Awareness Programmes, Environmental Control Officer duties and GIS Mapping. Other duties have included preparation of quotations and tender documents for prospective clients, mentoring of junior staff and liaison with governmental departments, non - governmental organisations, stakeholders and clients.
